The Ohio State University Diabetes Research Center

Through the newly established
Diabetes Research Center, OSU Medical Center is committed to developing
innovative research, patient care and education programs in order to manage,
prevent, and cure diabetes. This interdisciplinary center will have the ability
to conduct clinical trials and basic research in diabetes and translate it into
patient treatment and education. The Center will focus on islet cell, pancreas,
and kidney transplantation; neoteric modes of insulin delivery and islet cell
implantation devices; and improved methods of management and prevention of
diabetes. 
 
As a part of The Power To
Change Lives Campaign, OSU Medical Center is seeking to raise $10 million to support
the research and education efforts of the Diabetes Research Center. These gifts
will advance the diabetes research conducted by Ohio State’s talented and
committed scientists who are focused on improving the quality of life,
preventing the long-term complications of diabetes, and providing a cure for
those who have the disease.
